BEAUTIFUL BIRTHDAYS FOR BELLA

Bella in Italian means Beautiful!
Beautiful Birthdays for my Ysabella!
So I finally decided to blog my firstborn's sweet, wonderful birthdays. I am a busy mother who work full time and when I take time to do these little preparations, I feel humbled & honoured, pleased and happiest when I get busy on the few little weeks coming up to my precious little girl's birthday. I grew up not having the chance of knowing or remembering my own mother for she passed away at my tender age of 2 so every year that Bella turns older, I am quite thankful and blessed that I get to share these special moments with her. I have one favourite photo of my mother, Flora and me which I keep on a small frame inside Bella's room. It is a photo of her and myself on the 11th of February, my very first birthday! My mother who was a primary school teacher then was lovingly mentioned by my aunt (her first cousin who eventually became my surrogate mother) as a smart dresser. Photos I have seen of her were always feminine. It also brings me to contemplate on how she would have prepared for my very first birthday.  It was quite hard to reproduce a sephia photo. I had to remove this from the small antique frame.

After my baby's first bday party, I was going through the photos that my husband took and was amazed after seeing a shot of myself and Bella quite similar to the one of my mother and I.  Feeling blessed to feel your love all over again, my mommy.

BALLERINA PARTY - 4th BDAY

My daughter has been doing ballet & jazz classes for almost 2 years now and she wanted to have a ballerina party so she and her friends can wear a tutu. Hence, the theme. I was inspired by Martha Stewart's paper lantern so I made some. We focused on every shades of pink. Little Bella helped me the night before her party to make these pretty little lanterns and we genuinely had fun putting them up.

This ballet slipper was unbelievably hard to find in Sydney for it was out of stock. I got lucky and found one last stock at Party Place in Chatswood. www.partyplace.com.au

My little one loves books. Every birthday of hers, I always include a book in her goody bags. The book is usually connected to her party theme. This year I chose Angelina Ballerina Series titled "Best Friends Forever"

I found these lovely party favours on ebay.com.au It was awesome! You can stock them up to your heart's content.

Birthday girl waiting for her guests...

It drizzled a bit before the guests arrived. A sign of good luck our old folks say!

Her daddy's input - Wall Graffiti :D and good sound system.

My daughter is lucky enough to have an aunt who can sew. I bought the organza fabric at Spotlight and the satin ribbon and my sister in law made them. They look so adorable on the girls!

Her very special guest is Disney's "Bella Ballerina" I was quite overwhelmed to know that my daughter's favourite DVD "Bella Dancerella" star is Australian. We are very pleased to have Gabby T. grace our home and entertain the girls with her charm and grace.

Here is one of the links to her DVD.

Yummy cake from her Auntie Rae. She also made yummy desserts to go with afternoon tea.

Aside from their goody bags, they also each received a special present from Bella Ballerina. It contains a magic wand and her recent CD. The girls are over the moon!

Who says only humans can wear tutu?! Ruff! Happy birthday, Bella!
