MERMAID PARTY - 3rd BDAY

Each little mermaid and mermen received this "Mermaid's Manual".

For the second time, I used Birthday in a Box for this personalised birthday invite for my little girl's "Under the Sea" party. http://www.birthdayinabox.com/

Pretty little mermaids.

Princess Mermaid Jennifer graced the girls and boys afternoon with magic spells and stories and some dancing too! http://www.fairygoodtimes.com.au/

Look at all their mermaid tails!

Bella, my little mermaid. Happy Birthday to you!

The littlest cutest mermaid

I got this mermaid costume at Uncle Pete's. They have some reasonably priced party costumes for girls and boys. This mermaid outfit really suited the day's temperature.

ANIMAL FARM PARTY - 2nd BDAY

Ysabella's farm animal themed invite was so cute! It was from http://www.birthdayinabox.com/

Since I was still working part-time, I decided that this year I will not splurge on the birthday cake but make my own. It wasn't necessarily my own. I ordered a plain caramel 3 tiered cake from Mamushka's Cheesecake Shop. I managed to find some nice cake toppings from eBay. These are actually egg cups but I wanted to be a little bit creative so I used them as a cake topper and filled the cup with M&M's. For some reason, the M&M's disappeared before the dessert was served ;) The themed farm animal candles are from Birthday in a Box too. This cake is so good with a cuppa!
While waiting for the guests, the kids enjoyed watching Baby Einstein's Animals on the Farm.

Ready for the baby animals! The bday girl is wearing a gymboree animal farm set. Their baby online shop can be quite addicting too! http://www.gymboree.com/

Hello Ducky!

Eager beavers!

Waiting for bunny rabbit!
Hi fluffy!

A woolly sheep!

It was a great day to play on the grass!

Desserts prepared by mum.

Cow Pinata from Birthday in a Box. http://www.birthdayinabox.com/

The bigger and big kids had fun as well!

The party planner tripped on a balloon air pump before the party started ending up injuring her toe. What a party to remember!

It was a great day except for my toe :) Happy birthday dear baby!

BIRTHDAY BEAR 1st BDAY

I love sending and receiving thank you notes. This old fashioned courtesy and etiquette goes a lo-ong way. It also shows how much you respect and care for the person you are sending it to.
This fun Thank you card is created by me from Kodak Gallery. http://www.kodakgallery.com/

I love pinatas! When I was young, each party I attend has their own version of pinata. There is the claypot that you have to crack to reveal goodies and coins. There are also those hanging toys & candies in a wooden tray that goes up and down and you have to jump to get your share. The pinatas today are quite different..more artistic I guess and there are soo many in terms of variety. I filled this number 1 pinata with American lollies for a little unusual treat - didn't really make a difference. It's the same crazy sugar!

My 1 yo seems a bit too young for this puppet show but the kids really had a great time!

Here comes Amazing Alex & Fifi - http://www.cse-magic.com/amazing_alex.htm

I rented the marquee, small tables & chairs from Princess Lulu Events & Party Planners. They also prepared the kid's lunch boxes. Being a first time mother, I wasn't sure what to serve these little tummies.

Look at my bubba in her pretty pink satin dress from Ghie. Thank you Ghie!

I wanted to be a little bit more creative so I asked Ghie (Salon owner, hairdresser, dressmaker, mother of 4 all rolled into one) to create a dress for the teddy bears. Ghie actually made a dress exactly like this for Ysabella, one of her many presents to my little girl.
